INTRODUCTION
In Christianity demonic possession has often being partly ignored, because we believe that it only those who leaves their bodies to attend meeting at the middle of the night or those who are in occult are demonic possessed, and some Christians are living under demonic influence without even knowing what is influencing most of their negative decisions. The definition of the word demon will give us insight of the totality or at least 70% of what is demonic possession
DEFINITION
To be able to deal with or deliver someone or yourself from demonic possession it is good we understand what is demon. Demon is defined as an evil spirit, source or agent of evil, harm, distress, or ruin. The above definition gives a good summary of what demon is. If the above definition is true that’s to say those who are controlled or influenced to do negative things either knowingly or unknowingly are under the influence of demonic spirit.
This includes those who have:
Madness spirit (mark 5:2),
Deaf and dumb (mark 9:17),
Feeling of jealousy,
Despair spirit (Isaiah 61:3),
Fearful spirit (2 Timothy 1:7)
Deep sleep (Isaiah 29:10, 19:14)
Impurity spirit (Zechariah 13:2) etc.
POSSESSIONS
It is also good to know the type of people that can be possessed by demon; it is good to know as long as we live in this world we are being exposed to demonic spirits. And in most cases we may not be aware of activities of demonic spirits in our lives. When we know that as long as we leave in this world, we are exposed to this wicked spirits, we will take the advice of Jesus in the book of Matthew 26:41 serious, in which he told us to watch and pray. As a Christian when you watch and pray you will be able to identify any area in your life that needs help and strengthen it through the name of Jesus Christ in prayers. Because it’s through our weaknesses that demons get access into our lives and weakened our Christianity and in most cases causes the loss of salvation. In other words a Christian as well as pagans can come under the influence of demonic spirit. Luke 4:36, in the book of Matthew 16:23 Jesus told “Peter Satan get behind me” he wasn’t talking to Peter in person, but the spirit that spoke through him
HOW TO IDENTIFY DEMONIC POSSESSED ACTIVITIES
For a Christian to deliver himself or another person he or she must be aware of the type of demon he is dealing with and also identify the activity of that demon. They say that the key to curing sickness is by identifying the sickness and then look for the antidote to the sickness, and properly applying it, without which the sickness will remain. So to identify the work of demon in personal life, when you notice the bad part of your character or life that you are losing control over is a sign that something is spiritually wrong. For those who freely participate in demonic activities they can be exposed by the presence of the Holy Spirit during prayers, praise and worship, the Holy Spirit can reveal it to the Children of God when he feels they need it and someone who is demonic possessed may manifest their presents when they need to attack their target. God also gives his children the gift of discernment to know demon possessed person when they speaks, through their behavior or at the first sight. With the gift of discernment is easy to identify demon possessed person with no much trouble. A problem identified is 50% solved so as Christians we should pray seriously to get the gift of discernment. Acts, 13:6-17.
AUTHORITY TO DELIVER DEMON POSSESSED
Before someone can deliver anybody from the possession of demon the person must have the assurance of salvation. You must have obtained the ability to do so, that’s to say you’re a partaker of Christ divine nature in which the authority to cast out demons is archived through the name of Jesus Christ, Mark 16:17. Without being part of Christ family the demons might attack you, as in the case of the seven children of Sceva and a Jewish priest, whom the demons they were trying to cast out over powered, wounded and chased out naked as recorded in the book of acts 19:15-16. You must be sure of your place in Christ family, that’s not negotiable.
PREPARATION
Casting out demons can be exhausting in most cases it will takes time; some demons are stubborn and won’t want to give up their host so easily, some will pretend to have gone out why they are still in their host. Before doing that you have to make sure that you are always prepared spiritually, you can place yourself on fasting to allow the spirit of God over shadow your physical body that will give the Holy Spirit almost total control of your activities. Praying and worshiping God will bring down the presence of God and charge the atmosphere making it easy for you to operate in higher spiritual frequency. Casting out demons can take up to 5hours in some cases days or less, so is advisable to eat properly so that in the case of long hours you will have the energy to be able to withstand the pressure. Matthew 17:21, mark 9:29.


HOW TO CAST OUT DEMON
It is good to know that demons are self-aware, they will respond to high authority faster when they are called by name and order given to them also they are also aware of those who have the ability to activate the higher authority through the name of Jesus Christ which they don’t have option but to obey. When delivering demon possessed person, it is optional to speak to the demon directly and ask them to identify themselves by name and when identify, you command them to leave in Jesus name (my personal experience I normally hear the name of the demon in the realm of the spirit or identify it through observation). Some demon are stubborn they may tell you reasons why they won’t leave their host. One also has to make sure that the person being delivered has agreed to summit to the authority of Jesus Christ by accepting him as their personal Lord and savior Acts 2:21. It is also good to know that delivering a demon possessed person is not a physical fight but spiritual battle, 2 Corinthians 10:4 says “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds”. Eph 6:12 say “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”. So we have to identify the demon and with authority command them to obey you in the name of Jesus Christ. The basic rule in dealing with demon is to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit; if you strictly follow his instruction the result you will get will be miraculous itself. Matthew 4:10, Luke 11:14 Mark 1:34.
CONCLUSION
By virtue of our being in Christ, power has been given to us to drive demons out of friends and family lives, including ours. Mark 16:17 says “And this signs shall follow them that believe in my name they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues”.

Thanks for your post. My problems is that most ministers have turned casting out demons into entertainment and exclusive preserve of the MOG. However, every sound Christian has been given the power and authority to cast out demons.

Churches don't teach it not to speak of practicing it.

I still wish that many churches will teach about it. It amazes me to know that the average Christian is scared to bliss about demons. They feel like demons will live them alonebof they don't bother them.

Usually, experience has shown that few christians will comment on your thread. Its a world having a form of religion bit denying the power thereof.

God will save the elect from from confuse, some church don't even believe Jesus is still doing wonder, and many christians are scared of demon because of there lack of knwlegbe of power of God even when they claim to know him
