It's just a subtle way to reject the naira so they can easily repatriate their money. They have been looking for an excuse, and now they've gotten one.

Be objective in your criticism,is Lagos-Dubai-Rio the only route been ply by emirates ? why has this policy not come on other routes?

Those drug dealers will certainly find a way around it as they would use cards issued outside Nigeria to make payments and that card will be obtained with fake ID! angry

The way some people comment on Nairaland these days,is enough to confirm that Nigerian Education is at rock bottom, some folks post comments like kindergartens.
From the thread how can you assume that Emirates made this decision, cause of repatriation of funds? When Emirates connects Nigerians to over 150 destinations .So why just brazil? if its about repatriation of funds. You need to know how much these drug couriers cost the airline annually due to their shameful activities, and they keep giving Nigeria a bad image...Learn to deal with the real issues and stop finding lame excuses for everything...this is what has led Nigeria to its current state... sad sad :- undecided

Most of those commenting just wanna lend their voice to a topic they are not familiar with, and despite the little education you and one other guy have given them here you still see them talking from the ignorant point of view rather than learn from this....
