Seventy seven percent of respondents in a Daily Trust survey shows that Nigerians want Federal Government to sanction Bayero University Kano(BUK) for conducting the banned post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (post-UTME).
Earlier on the Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu had at a stakeholders’ meeting in June 2016 banned the conduct of any written test for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions. He said such responsibility lay solely with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The Minster also warned that under no circumstances should any institution take over that responsibility by proxy.

The Poll result
The online survey which had a total of 989 respondents started from 09/15/16 to 05/06/16 on the Daily Trust website .
The 77 percent makes up 761 respondent who wants BUK to be sanctioned for conducting the examination.
However 208 respondents making up 21 percent do not want the school to be sanctioned and 20 respondents making up 2 percents of the votes are "undecided"
