The Managing Director of West Ham United, Mr. Angus Kinnear, has identified Anambra State as a reservoir of budding youth football talents.
Mr. Kinneera, who stated this in a speech he delivered at the Ifeanyi Ubah Sports Complex Nnewi yesterday, pointed out that great football talents were among the young footballers from across the twenty one local government areas of the state who were kitted in FC Ifeanyi Ubah colours.

Describing the president and financier of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, as a man with vision and ideas. Mr Kineear noted that football is not just a game because it has the capacity to turn lives around for the best. He added that his club, West Ham United has a long history of youth football and as such would collaborate with FC Ifeanyi Ubah to develop the budding talents.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr. Ubah, described West Ham United as having the best football academy and that Anambra state has so much to benefit from the partnership particularly the 'Made in Anambra Football' project which is expected to engage fifty thousand families in the state.

He intimated his visitor of the developments that have taken place at the Ifeanyi Ubah International stadium in just seven months.
Dr. Ubah noted that football is the next hope of the future, adding that he is determined to make Anambra State key into the future of hope and empowerment, adding that one thousand youths from the state would get automatic scholarship into his football academy.
In his own comment, Senator Alphonsus Ubanese Igbeke described Dr. Ubah as a man of innovation who makes impossible things possible. He described the Publisher of The AUTHORITY Newspapers as a man of unprecedented philanthropy and a gift of nature to humanity.
Ann Agumanu-Chiejina, the assistant coach of Super Falcons, said that she was impressed with the array of stars that turned out to be part of the historic event.

Dr. Patrick Ubah’s alma mater, Okongwu Memorial Grammar School, Nnewi, was made a beneficiary of the West Ham, FC Ifeanyi Ubah partnership as it received five thousand Pounds Sterling (£5,000) donation from Mr Kinnear. The Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation also donated one million Naira to Okongwu Memorial Grammar School.

The West Ham boss also donated thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) to the Anambra State Football Association.
The traditional ruler of Nnewi, Igwe KON Orizu 111, Mr Peter Stephenson, MD, I-Gaming sports, Mr John Okafor, Nwankwo Kanu, Uche Ogbuagu and other eminent personalities graced the epoch-making occasion.

This is a great step towards national development.
