Is It Wise For A Man To Run A Paternity (DNA) Test On His Legitimate Children? by blexy3(f): 2:23pm On Oct 08, 2016
I was chatting with a friend of mine yesterday and he said that women are so untrustworthy and for that reason he would always run a paternity test on all his children during their infancy so as to avoid training another man's child. I opposed the idea and it turned into full fledged argument.

I now throw these questions to the house

1) Do u think it's wise to take your legitimate child for a paternity test?

2) As a woman how would you feel if your husband decides to run DNA test on your children??

3) what would be the effect of such test on the family afterwards

Your friend knows the type of woman he married
he probably snatched her from another man
he is also probably thinking back at his own relationships with women
So let him go ahead and do as many DNA's as he wants

I guess ur friend is nt yet married, dat was why... When he does, he won't even think of it unless his wife gives him reason to do so.
1: It's nt right, unless he ve a strong reason ...so he won't start what he can't finish. cheesy
2: I will gladly tell u 2 go, since u ve money 2 waste cheesy
When u start arguing , he will feel u re hiding s/th.
3: It will take d grace of God 4 d marriage to remain d same, bc d trust/luv is broken

Maybe he's sleeping with a married woman. Now he's probably thinking his wife is doing same.

In this increasingly promiscuous world? Any man who can afford to and hasn't done so is a man of great faith. Wasn't it a few days we heard of a woman who they police found out placed a 600k hit on her husband? Verification is everything abeg.

I will do it if I feel like ..., if u as a woman cannot deal with it try hanging. I don't trust anyone. Such $hit happened in my street, a family of five got separated with only one child out of three belonging to the father of the house, the rest belongs to his bosom frd . This man wldnt av knwn if an heated argument abt their business didn't ensue into the bosom frd spilling it out. The man had to start all over again.
So don't tell me bull$hit, I can decide to do my children dna test anytime, anyday. U can as well pack out if it annoys u. But u cannot stop me frm doing it.

To be a man now na punishment ooo.
After suffering to plant your seeds you also have to spend money to find out whether the fruits is really your own.

How do you allude to legitimacy without inquiry to determine genuineness or validity? Biologically, legitimacy can only be derived through chromosome combination and that is where DNA comes in.

Rid yourself of sentiments. How he chooses to interprete the result is where his true test lies. One of 2face's babymama almost pushed his baby to another man whom she took to the church as the husband if not for the baby being a boy and a spitting image of 2face.

i see nothing wrong with it but managing the aftermath is the issue here. so if they are not yours then what? if you married your woman in love 'unconditionally' then raising her kids should not be an issue but warn her to stop side runs.

even hospitals have been known to switch babies by accident. doing a paternity test is even recommended before leaving an hospital with a large number of infants. every child deserves to be loved either a product of intent or accident. love 'em.

Na so we see am. By not doing so, many men have raised offspring belonging to other men and finding out too late or even not at all. If it weren't a possibility and an increasing phenomenon nobody would think of confirming paternity.

Anyway, thank you for your "concern". We appreciate it. wink

This can be more complicated than at first appears.

One would hope the necessity simply wouldn't be there. By reason of closeness and proximity, I have no reason to doubt the paternity of my children. Secondly, the boy has some unique characteristics passed down through our male lineage grin - funnily enough I didn't check with my daughter.

If one has any reason to suspect, then how will you have peace if you don't verify? As was mentioned, not just for cheating, but for swaps, which actually happen to criminal order sometimes - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/02/el-salvador-british-man-and-wife-in-baby-swap-ordeal-take-son-home.

Our new femcentric era in the West has made inroads even here. In some countries - most notably France - a man cannot DNA test his supposed offspring, without approval from the mother.

I've actually heard of cases where the result was "not yours mate" be he was still ordered to provide for the child till they turned 18 shocked.

Better to face the truth at six months old then at eighteen years old. Wouldn't you agree? No need to postpone the evil day.
