Its rather unfortunate, that the level development going on in lagos are not being replicated by ogun state government.
I have heard that the budget and revenue of Ogun is state is small compare to lagos. Yes that's true but if Ogun state can set its priorities right, its going to be an advantage in terms of revenue that will accrue to the state on the long run.
Anyone that lives in the border town between Lagos and Ogun state will surely understand what I am talking about.
Immediately you enter Ogun state from lagis you will notice the difference in the state of things. Take for instance after Agbara bus stop to inside Agbara and after toll gate in sango. The roads are terribly bad.
One of the things Ogun state government can do to tap and enjoy from the prosperity of Lagos is to create good housing, roads and social amenities that will attract some people in Lagos that would prefer more quiet area to live while they work in lagos .
The Ogun state government is not doing enough in this respect.
Agbara and sango ota are two towns in Ogun state where revenue is being and can be generated even more if the government of Ogun state can focus more on these two towns.
Now the roads in ota is becoming death traps everyday. From sango bridge to ifo now takes 2hours. A journey that should be less than 30minutes because of bad road.
The number of hours spent on the roads can be used to do more productive things that will benefit the state.
Even though this Lagos Abeokuta road is federal road, Lagos state has been up and doing on its end of the road, by rehabilitating bad portions. Building of bridge at abule egba is one of the efforts of Lagos state government to make Lagos Abeokuta road motorable.
Ogun state government should wake up from slumber and do something about the roads in Agbara, ota and Lagos Abeokuta expressway. Thank you

That's a federal government road na

But with that amosun started major roads even in abeokuta but had to abandon them because of lack of funds.

Ogun state really needs to reduce their recurrent expenditure. I wonder why the state has two universities and about four or five polytechnics.

Besides amosun embarked on too much road projects at the same time, he never envisaged that things could get bad like this.
