The child, 3-year old Wu Ningxi, only suffered
minor injuries due to her father using his
body as a shield from a thick cement pillar in
the building collapse located in the eastern
Chinese coastal city of Wenzhou.
According to CCTV, not less than 22 people,
including the 26-year-old shoe factory
worker, died in the collapsed building. The child’s mother, was also found dead in
the collapsed building.
Wu, who was found 12-hours later in the
debris of their four six-storey buildings, is the
last of only six survivors rescued from the
building.
