In the early hours of yesterday, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, residents of Greenland Estate in Mende, Maryland, were thrown into some sort of fear after security guards attached to the estate killed three huge pythons in the area. The three pythons take the total number of snakes killed in the estate to fifteen in the spate of 10 months.

According to a report by Punch newspaper, the three 30 – foot long pythons were killed by the guards in the estate around 8:00 am. The guards reportedly put the pythons up for sale for the sum of N10, 000 moments after they were killed.

Speaking on the development, the Vice Chairman of the estate, Sola Adekoya, said more than 15 pythons had been killed in the estate in 2016 alone. “We have seen more than 15 pythons this year alone; the guards kill them regularly.
