nHub Nigeria is a Leading technology hub in Nigeria. It aims to establish a tech ecosystem in the northern part of Nigeria by using technology to bridge the gap in the region’s IT participation by transforming Jos into a tech outsourcing hub for Africa. It has attracted developers from across the northern states as well as other parts of the country to converge in Jos and train them into world class developers. Software developers are nHub's products, nHub has created an industry that was absent in the entirety of the region and it is gradually turning into an outsourcing hub.

It organized several successful Competitions and events’ including the NASA Space Apps competition in Jos and it is also at the verge of hosting one of the biggest hackathon in Africa in early November this year. "The Silicon Plateau" is a project pursued by nHub which will see the North compete with Yabacon or Lagos in the tech outsourcing space. It has initiated a Sevocoder programming club which is designed to foster interest among young people in software engineering especially students in secondary schools. Among some of its initiatives is the women in tech initiative that gives out scholarships to women at its nAcademy to enhance their knowledge and skills in the ever-growing technology world. These skills will be paramount for women to meet-up and compete effectively the world tech space.

Four (4) startups from nHub are ready for scale-up and six (6) others are in various stages of incubation. Most of their innovation and start-ups are centered on solving real life problems; such as: The Logical Address App, which addresses the problem of the vague addressing system Nigeria operates. Hamtu an application created to bridge the gap between patient and doctor, Doctor and doctor, and also patient and patient in terms of medical consultation, referrals, prescriptions and experiences. Tacit VR – leverages virtual reality to advance education. Virtual reality in an untapped niche in Nigeria and TacitVR is at the frontier building the future of virtual reality. Yiino app facilitates generation of needed information on expiring drugs and linkages of relevant healthcare institutions.

As part of its services, nHub offers members desk space, wireless internet access, a staffed reception area to receive their guests and a lounge all at a nominal fee. They also provide a cost effective way for startups to grow their businesses, maintain a professional image and manage their expenses. It is strategically located within the city (where production costs are relatively cheaper), and embedded in an entrepreneurial environment that fosters learning and collaboration. There is also the nAcademy, a full-time immersive training academy for making better programmers, software engineers and mobile app developers. NHub’s goal is to cultivate a society of highly independent youths that can go on to be self-reliant without waiting on the Government for employment(s).

nHub was nominated by Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry for an award in the category of “INNOVATION CLUSTER OF THE YEAR” alongside ‘CCHUB’, ‘IDEA NIGERIA’, ‘PASSION INCUBATOR’, MHUB and also by the Nigeria Technology Awards (NiTA) for the Best Technology Innovation Hub category.
