I drive a honda CRV jeep 2000 model. recently, I made the mistake of driving from Onitsha to owerri with no Oil in the back aixle. Since then, I constantly hear a clanging noise from the aixle (much like an aixle skipping) when ever I try to reverse the Car.

I'll like to know if an aixle can be repaired or whether I should just seek to buy a new aixle.

I love the crv jeep. it's a great car in almost all aspects.

thanks, bro for ur offer of help. unfortunately, I'm not in lagos. but now I know that a repair is possible, I will seek for some1 in my location (owerri) who can do it. I may have to take it down to PH.

Is it a FWD or AWD CRV?

Just want to be sure.

Look under, if you see a shaft running from front to rear diff.

Unless you have a bad leak shouldn't run out of oil.

what you may need is either a diff rebuilt, or tcase depending on leak
