YENAGOA ———Early morning fire raised down the Etegwe home of Hon. Nimbofa Ayawei, Chairman Bayelsa State Revenue Board and owner of DANIELLO PULO, a fuel filling station along the Sani Abacha Expressway by Etegwe.

The fire claimed the life of his first son and a lady believed to be his fiancee while two others managed to escape through the window.

Although the exact cause of the inferno is yet to be ascertained but eye witnesses believed the fire may have been caused by electrical fault as the incident occurred about 4am, almost same time the light was brought.

My independent findings around the premises revealed that the inferno may have started from the last floor of the one story building, spreading to all other parts of the building without engulfing the DANIELLO PULO, the fuel filling station right in front of the residential building.

The corpses have been taken to the Yenagoa morgue of the Federal Medical Center as at the time of filing this report.

However, Hon. Nimbofa Ayawei could not be reached for comments as he is said to be not too sound in health for number of days now.
