Bimpe29: How? How would it be a source of economic prosperity for Naija? Do you think he will sell Gas to Nigeria for free? Or the Company will employ Nigerians as a matter of priority? Or that they would repatriate their profits back to Nigeria? 4 Likes 1 Share |

I don't think many here even know what this post/dangote's acquisition is about. He has acquired the company ( which has specialised, patented technology to build and operate cheaper gas plants. Obviously, we wants to have the company build and operate one on Nigeria. It can be situated beside his refinery if he wants, close to the Lagos oil company. "It said, “The acquisition complements DIL’s portfolio of investments in the upstream, midstream and downstream segments of the oil and gas sector. The company will assist in the design and construction of the gas plants, which will be strategic in processing gas from oil fields for transportation via Dangote’s planned sub-sea pipeline for ultimate consumption by various industries and power plants.” 6 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria's gas problem is our inability to tap into our abundant reserves. We produce more gas indigenously than we can cater to. Gas flaring results in burning only a small percentage of refined gas, most remain unused and sometimes wasted by release into the atmosphere. What we need is a system to trap these gases and provide them to homes or use our reserves in providing alternate forms of electricity for the masses. Hopefully his acquisition of the company is to find new age methods to utilize our reserves than supply (the Nigerian man's foolishness) us foreign gas. 2 Likes |

Wow! This is impressive! The industrial supersonic gas separators designed by Twister use high velocity coupled with controlled drop in pressure and temperature to separate unwanted components from the main gas. They are better than the conventional method of separation. But this doesn't solve the lingering problem of crude oil refining we are currently facing in Nigeria 3 Likes |

12inches1: Ridiculous comment. What good has Dangote done to Nigeria? He's a businessman and every business wo(man) aim is to make profit. Opportunist by taking one when he sees it? How does he coming from the north affects his business empire? Haven't you heard of The Dangote Foundation? Is he the government that is saddled with the responsibility of delivering good governance to her residents? India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and a host of countries have people living in extreme poverty conditions not only Nigeria nor the north. He's a businessman and in business, there are no sentiments. LA-shing of Hong Kong has invested in Europe, it's his money. Majority of his businesses are located in the north and you come here ranting nonsense. I don't blame you, according to Sagamite, your likes are products of a failed education system. E no go better for Glo wey dey dash awuff data plan to any kain person. 8 Likes |
