THE death has been announced of an erudite theatre scholar and broadcaster, Dr. Taiwo Oladokun. A graduate of Theatre Arts, he holds a Ph.D from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, where he lectured before moving to Nigeria Television Authority (NTA). Before his death the very professional mentor to many students was a newscaster at Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (because), Ibadan and NTA, Lagos and Abuja. He was also former SA on Media to Minister of Culture and Tourism (Adetokunbo kayode), and SA on Media to immediate past Minister of Culture and Tourism (Edem Duke). Late Dr. Oladokun was a Visiting Lecturer, University of Abuja, and until his death was Director at Centre for Black Arts And Civilisation (CBAAC). It is reported that he was to resume as Rector of TV College, Jos. Late Dr. Oladokun died in a motor accident along the Abuja-Lokoja expressway.
