The Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) says its decision to pick Chukwuma Soludo, the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria as its Anambra governorship candidate in 2010 remains ''sacrosanct.''

The National Financial Secretary of the Party, Tukur Mani stated this on Thursday in Ilorin while speaking with newsmen shortly after attending the University of Ilorin's 25th convocation lecture.

According to him, the criticisms that trailed the emergence of Mr. Soludo as the governorship candidate of the Party were normal in politics.

Well, no choice in politics will be a good choice, as long as the choice is not chosen by 100% of the people involved, and that is not possible, however, this kinda choice is a dumb and ridiculous choice and this makes me to think that Soludo might have known about this when they refused to renew his contract as CBN governor.
PDP and all their underg runs, one day, monkey will go market and wont return.

18 Million Democrats voted against Obama in the democratic primaries, 40% of America voted against him in the general election but yet he has won and is the commander-in-chief of all Americans and the party leader for the Democrats.

But in Nigeria if Chuma Nwafor and his co-beer palour politicians decide to refuse to realise that the PDP as a party has made its choice for Anambra 2010 you hear folks run to Nairaland to suggest that somehow that has anything to do with Soludo's integrity or how he will perform as Governor.

However this same group of folks are unable to demonstrate how the APGA or AC primary selection method is any better.
There only barometer for which process is democratic and which is'nt is whether the candidate at the time of selection enjoyed 100% support from party delegates. Well thats not democracy, thats just the kind of fall-in-line politics you see in banana republics and that this is our idea of Democracy is very troubling.
