A field support engineer in a telco is basically a maintenance engineer. He maintains telecom infrastructure of sites under his supervision. He also supervises new installations on sites he manages.

Salary range should be from 100k upwards. This also depends on the company.

I don't know of IHS salary scale, I just gave u general industry standard.

As for career growth, it depends on you and what you want. You can always create a career for yourself in Telecom as a Field Engineer. Transmission and RF Engineers are highly sought for.

Thanks bro, just don't wanna make a choice imma regret later.

It is a very good care path, what I will advice u as well is that while on the job try to build ur self more by writing professional networking courses like CCNA, CCNP n so on, that will give u a greater opportunity in future.

you gat to meet real site problems and proper solutions within some time interval (good downtime management), good pay and lots of exposure but beware of babes
