The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will not host the victorious Rangers team on Friday and the new date will now be the first week in November after a top official of the state government made this known on Thursday.

The grand reception of the Flying Antelopes had suffered two postponements this week before the new November date mentioned by the Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Charles Ndukwe.

The commissioner hinted that the Enugu government decided to shelf the idea of hosting the Rangers team till next month when the coaches, players and officials of the team would have returned from their break ahead of the new season.

Ndukwe informed Goal:” The governor will not receive the players and officials of Rangers on Friday as widely circulated.
The reception will now be in the first week of November.

The Governor said he would like all the players and officials to be present after they have observed their two weeks break and that he would like recuperating striker, Ifeanyi Egwin to witness the event live as well.”
