Why Are Some Yoruba Against False. by Godemcee(m): 8:19am On Oct 24, 2016 |
fayose recently formed an anti herdsmen group nd ekiti state house of assembly passed an anti herdsmen bill(restricting the herdsmen from grazing on people farm) after they killed four people in ekiti. I understand fulani's on nairaland getting mad at fayose but what I don't understand is a fellow yoruba insulting fayose nd wishing What happened in agatu to happen in ekiti.fulani herdsmen killed more than 2000 in agatu nd av been declared the 3rd deadliest terrorist group but we still have people support them cause the president is a fulani man,I hope they all know pmb is the president of Nigeria nd not fulani nd pmb would not rule forever.if we don't speak against this horsemen killers now it was agatu turn before tomorrow it might be ur turn nd people should forget political sentiment cause fulani herdsmen won't ask if u are apc or pdp if they wanna commit their mass genocide(benue people also voted apc) even obasanjo already said its not the job of the president to defend against fulani herdsmen terrorist, that state government nd farmers should defend themselves so fayose is justified (Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday said it is not the responsibility of President Muhammadu Buhari to address the lingering clashes between herdsmen and farmers.Obasanjo also decried the increasing level of hunger in the country, stressing that it was sad to note that about 65 per cent of Nigerians were faced with food insecurity. The former president spoke during the 23rd Annual LAPO Development Forum with the theme, ‘Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture in Nigeria: Challenges and Opportunities’, organised by the Lift Above Poverty Organisation in Abuja.Obasanjo said, “Some of the words that have been coming from our leaders, particularly from state governors are not helpful! This issue is not a federal issue and another thing, I don’t like about it is that when you talk of Fulani herdsmen, people talk of the President.“Now because the President of Nigeria isa Fulani man, you expect him to solve theproblem immediately, that is not his job. And when people make comments like this, it annoys me.He noted that during the colonial era, there were grazing reserves in most parts of the North, but wondered what had happened to them.Obasanjo said, “I need to state that it is the responsibility of local governments to take care of them. Now, states should have even done better, but they haven’t, and then when you have cattle rustling, herdsmen and farmers conflict, you try tomake it a national issue. It is not really a national issue.“For me, the herdsmen are entitled be able to look after their animals but they are not entitled to destroy the crops of the rural farmers, it is unacceptable.”http://punchng.com/herdsmenfarmers-clashes-not-buharis-responsibilty-obasanjo/) for all those who are wishing evil on ekiti people u can go nd check ekiti people record with hausa/fulani,I don't know if ekiti people are different yoruba but they always deal with fulani/hausa( the sabo incident where all hausa almost ran from ekiti, the Hausa nd ekiti clash happened twice nd Hausa were the only victim)for those who think ekiti people as coward u can go check kigiri war( Am ijebu but my mum is from there so I know watsup). although I don't like fayose nd sometimes I wish him a long vacation in like. but I support him 100% on this nd all sensible Yoruba should do so nd our other governors must take drastic measure against herdsmen like he did. aresa patriotic9jaboy modath sarrki hungerBAD temitemi1 firefire ajepako progressive01 igboid PentiumProf blackpansa drss2 TonyeBarcanista caseless ishiamu abeymills DickDastardly 3 Likes |

Fayose did well with his law but he should act with tact. As for those wishing invasion of Ekiti, posterity will be unkind to them if such happens. |

Fayose is a great leader He did what majority of the governors could not do As the chief security officer his job is to prevent the breakdown of law and order Instead of criticising him he should be applauded for doing what he was elected to do 2 Likes |
