IN WHAT SEEMS LIKE A RESPONSE TO ONE OF THE DEMANDS OF UNIVERSITIES LECTURERS, THE EDUCATION TRUST FUND HAS ALLOCATED 7.2 BILLION NAIRA TO 57 PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIA. THE ACADEMIC STAFF UNION OF UNIVERSITIES WENT ON STRIKE FOR ALMOST FOUR MONTHS DEMANDING FOR INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT, SALARY REVIEW AND INSTITUTION’S AUTONOMY AMONG OTHER THINGS. WHAT WILL THIS ACHIEVE? |
