He is not. He is better attacking from the side. That position is for Giroud and walcot.

The two times he played in that position this season, both matches ended in draw.

Wenger experimented on that last season it didnt work and he is doing it again this season. He wants to make a great striker out of sanchez so he can sell him for huge amount. Maybe €100m or more. It is all about money, not trophy for wenger. Unfortunately sanchez isnt ready for that.
