The 43-year-old artist Skye Ferrante is known for his wire sculptures of nude women. In order to create them, he relies on models — some of whom also happen to be high-end prostitutes. At one point a few years back, according to a fascinating story in the New York Times, one of Ferrante’s models offered to help sell the artwork to one of her clients. She did, for $10,000, and split the money with Ferrante.

Since then, more of Ferrante’s models have started a side hustle of dealing art. (“They have connections to more money than any of the galleries anyway,” he told the Times.) Some of those pieces end up in the homes of married men, men who obviously don’t tell their wives about how exactly they ended up with the sensual sculptures.
