Should I Go For A Bsc Or PGD After HND by nackademous: 11:56pm On Oct 30, 2016
Hello good people, please I am at a crossroads and I need your take on this.
I have an HND upper credit in Estate management & valuation, I intend to further my education but I am considering 2 options, I will like to go for the option that will give me more opportunities in the future as I will also like to go for my masters
Option 1- PGD in Estate management at FUTA, Ondo (2yrs max)
Option 2- BSc in Business Administration (UNILAG DLI) - 5yrs

I am below 30, i live in lagos & i don't earn much. FUTA will make me travel a lot but UNILAG will not.

Please advise me

Instead of wasting your time going for Bsc that will take you an additional 5years, why not take Pgd and top it up with professional qualifications. In that your field dichotomy is not usually a factor but if you have the ambition of lecturing, your Bsc is compulsory before master's as most schol wont employ a Pgd-master's graduate. As per the distance between lagos and Ondo state, i think most pgd are not a fulltime programme. Some are just at week days which you can squeeze up to attend or make enquiry at unilag if they have your desire postgraduate course. Cheers

You can do direct entry into UNILAG DLI which is better since you will be starting from 300 level, and it's not up to 5 years..

Go for PGD and do professional courses related to your field. Going for BSC, to me is a waste of time and resources.
