A very welcome development. That has been what we have been clamouring for over the time. If at the end of the investigation, they are clean then they can resume sitting. I pray Saraki should follow suit 5 Likes 3 Shares |

They've started "receiving sense" gradually- we pray they continue to do so. Glad we have a leader with balls of steel, otherwise, the vicious opposition to their fight against corruption coming from certain quarters would have made him jettison the noble course a long time ago. In Baba I trust. In Nigeria I believe. 36 Likes 3 Shares |

Now this is good and honourable, however I'm afraid Mr Buhari is polarising the judiciary just like he tried to do with the legislature in his selective and targeted corruption fight. Many wouldn't look at the deeper issues, not until reality dawns. 4 Likes |

nwabobo: Even raising the issue of amaechi further indicts the judges. It means politicians have been coming to them secretly and they didnt bother to report such, which is another violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct. Even if the amaechi story is true, it doesnt absolve the judges of this particular crime. 15 Likes |

Withdrawing voluntrily from sittings doesnt mean suspension. They still go to work, receive complete salary and benefits. It also means they can resume anytime even next week on their own choice. So far, dss doesnt have anything against them. You and I wouldnt even know when they have resumed sittings as this is a way to cool off the publicity and attention. Well played our lordships. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: S’court Justices Under Probe Withdraw From Sittings by blackpanda: 7:07am On Oct 31, 2016 |
kcnwaigbo: Why will he step down. The judges talk is merely an allegation with no atom of proof. Just unverifiable stories. On the other hand, the judges were caught red handed. The anti-graft agencies to investigate amaechi, and if found wanting then he can step down. But the judges story is also fantastic. As at the time they claim amaechi was bribing them, they had already delivered judgement. So why will someone be bribing u wen u have already delivered judgement than cannot be reversed?? Makes no sense 9 Likes |

blackpanda: Do you think you are addressing kids? The allegations against the judges are also mere allegations. You said they were caught red handed, red handed doing what, collecting bribe? It's not a crime for you to have a billion dollars in your house, it becomes a crime if the money was gotten through illegal means and so far, this has not been established against the judges. As for the 2nd part of your post, you need to go and read the judge's letter to the CJN, he never said Amaechi came to meet him on the date after judgement had been delivered, he said he reported to the Chief judge on thst day. Do not try to obfuscate us here please. 6 Likes 1 Share |

nwabobo: You see, u come out fuming with all manner of noise, only to expose your ignorance. It is a pity that someone who claims to be educated does not know that money laundering is an offence. For avoidance of doubt, keeping a billion dollars at home IS A FEDERAL OFFENCE! So dont come out to make noise when u have no clue what u are saying ok. The corrupt judges can name any names they like, they can even claim buhari paid them bribe. But at the end of the day it is mere hearsay without proof. The fact remains they were caught with large sums of money in their custody which they cannot account for. Wen combined with the plethora of petitions against them, even a blind bat can see the handwriting on the wall! 4 Likes 2 Shares |
