In a keynote address titled: "'Restoring the Confidence of the Citizens in the Political Leadership in Nigeria- A case study of IMO State'', the former Deputy Speaker of Nigerian House of Representatives and a Knight of St. Christopher (KSC), Rt Hon Chukwuemeka Ihedioha, speaking at the 2016 diocesan Synod of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, at St. John's Church, Amauzari, Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State South East Nigeria, today Monday 31st, October 2016 urged the Clergymen to Speak out the truth to people in authority.

He emphasis on citizens participation in democratic process and governance. Urging the strengthening of Executive-Legislative corporation, whereby the legislature will not be seen as a rubber stamp or errand boys of the executive. He hampered on rule of law, separation of power, while condemning the infrastructural and social decay in Imo state.
