I read this in Guardian Newspaper...from Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)...and yes they are very correct! I've always opined that business is not just a money making venture but also a social service. Read the full write up:

The bottomline of every business venture is profit. Nobody invests money in a business to sustain loss. It is only when your business is making profit that you can carry out your corporate social responsibility. So without profit in business, social responsibility becomes impossible
