richidinho:the price didn't come down coz the dollar used to import the fuel is expensive, should the value of the dollar drop, then decrease in price is possible in the face of competition. |

nuelyoyo: Who devalue the naira? Is it not the same govt? Pls go ahead and answer the 2nd question |
Re: NNPC Mega Stations Increase Fuel Price By N4/litre by nuelyoyo(m): 6:48pm On Nov 04, 2016 |
richidinho:when the pressure was high for the naira to be devalued, pmb was reluctant coz he knew the masses will suffer due to high prices for commodities and services, they called him names, he bowed to pressure and allowed the naira to flow according to forces of demand and supply. Now the same Nigerians are saying why did pmb devalue? Now let me enlighten you, devaluation is inevitable when an economy is in recession, especially when Ur balance of trade ain't favourable. U see, we import more than we export, so the demand for dollar is higher than the supply. And for Ur information, many oil based economies passing through recession also devalued their currency, u can do Ur research on that on the internet - Google is Ur friend. Please always rationalize Ur thought before commenting on social forums, don't let Ur emotions becloud Ur sense of reasoning. |

government is busying increasing fuel price without increasing worker's salary. the most annoying is that we don't have price control in our system which has skyrocketed every item in the market. |
