(5) JW GROM is Poland's elite counter-terrorism unit. GROM, which stands for Grupa Reagowania Operacyjno- Manewrowego (English: Group (for) Operational Maneuvering Response), which also means " thunder", is one of the five special operation forces units of the Polish Armed Forces . It was officially activated on July 13, 1990. It is deployed in a variety of special operations and unconventional warfare roles, including anti- terrorist operations and projection of force behind enemy lines. The unit was named after the Silent Unseen (Polish: Cichociemni Spadochroniarze Armii Krajowej ) - Poland's elite World War II special- operations unit.

(4) "Delta Force," officially known as 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta ( 1st SFOD-D ), is one of the U.S. special missions units primarily focused on the counter-terrorism mission. SFOD- Delta has been through a few name changes over the years, and even though it will likely always be known as SFOD–Delta, it was recently renamed the Combat Applications Group (CAG) and is now officially known as Army Compartmented Elements (ACE). Though Delta Force is primarily a tier-one counter-terrorist unit, specifically directed to kill or capture high value units (HVU) or dismantle terrorist cells, Delta Force remains extremely flexible and can engage in direct action missions, hostage rescues, and covert missions working directly with the Central Intelligence Agency, as well as high ranking protective services of our senior leaders during visits in war torn countries. Delta is under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) though administratively supported by the Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).

(3) Shayetet 13 ( Hebrew : שייטת 13 , lit. Flotilla 13 ) is a unit of the Israeli Navy and one of the primary special operations units of the Israel Defense Forces . Shayetet 13 specializes in sea-to-land incursions, counter-terrorism , sabotage , maritime intelligence gathering, maritime hostage rescue , and boarding. the unit trained to do sea, air and land actions. The unit has taken part in almost all of Israel's major wars, as well as other actions. The unit is one of the most secretive in the Israeli military. The details of many missions and identities of active operatives are kept highly classified . The unit is respected as among the best of the world’s special forces ,[1] and is compared to the US Navy SEALs and Britain's Special Boat

(2) The United States Navy 's Sea, Air and Land Teams, commonly known as the Navy SEALs , are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command . Among the SEALs' main function is to conduct small- unit maritime military operations that originate from, and return to, a river, ocean, swamp, delta, or coastline. The SEALs are trained to operate in all environments (Sea, Air, and Land) for which they are named. As of 2016, all active SEALs are currently male and members of the U.S. Navy. The CIA 's highly secretive and elite Special Operations Group (SOG) recruits operators from SEAL Teams, with joint operations going back to the MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War .This cooperation still exists today, as evidenced by military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

(1) The Special Air Service ( SAS ) is a special forces unit of the British Army . The SAS was founded in 1941 as a regiment , and later reconstituted as a corps in 1950. The unit undertakes a number of roles including covert reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, direct action and hostage rescue. The corps presently comprises 22 Special Air Service Regiment, the regular component under the operational command of United Kingdom Special Forces , and 21 (Artists) Special Air Service Regiment (Reserve) and 23 Special Air Service Regiment (Reserve) , which are reserve units under the operational command of 1st Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Brigade
The Special Air Service traces its origins to 1941 and the Second World War and was reformed as part of the Territorial Army in 1947, named the 21st Special Air Service Regiment (Artists Rifles) . The 22nd Special Air Service Regiment, which is part of the regular army, would gain fame and recognition worldwide after its televised rescue of all but one of the hostages held during the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege.
