For his gallantry performance at the battle field, lt.col Muhammad Abu Ali was promoted by the Nigerian Army to the rank of Lt.col and he was decorated by the Army Chief, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai in Sept 2015.
His subordinate hailed him.
