The headies award earlier released nominees for the upcoming hadies award. we all remember the pandemonium that erupted during the 2015 headies award where olamide and don jazzy got up to a bad start in 2016 right? Regardless of their criteria or reasons for dishing out awards we believe public opinion should count this year. Well in an attempt to curb “mayhem” in this year’s headies we took a time out to read people opinions and comments on the nominees and “advice” headies on who should win in different categories (especially the eye-catching ones).

Just give it to tekno…. with hit song like pana the artist has tried for himself possible contender is ycee with hit songs like jagaban, omo alhaji, listeners say he should go and hustle for lyricist of the year he has a clearrr shot there. The big cassava boy should have this one.



Best Street-Hop Artist Award

Better give it to Olamide to avoid another episode of drama…. aside that, he did an incredible job on the “who you epp” track that had thousands of covers around Nigeria.



Album of the Year Award

He was snubbed during the 2015 headies but this year this award no doubt belongs to kiss Daniel. His album recorded major hit songs like mama, jumbo, good time, sin city, laye amongst others featurng no additional artist.



Artist of the Year Award


Definitely Falz the bad Guy. His versatility in music, acting and comedic gave this artist a distinctive position in front of any other artist this year.



Best Music Video Award

There are no arguments in this one Clarence peter’s master piece on “soldier” by falz and simi will blow your mind. Clarence, it is.



Best Collabo Award

Ok this category raised eye brows as to why “bad baddo baddest” by falz ft olamide and davido was not on this list well If patoranking doesn’t win best reggae dance hall he should bag this one with his track ft sarkodie (no kissing produced by gospel on the beat).
