EFCC CHAIRMAN VISITS LASU, DELIVERS LECTURE ON MONEY LAUNDERING AND ITS IMPACT ON THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY : THE WAY FORWARD.

When the EFCC Chairman/Boss, Mr. Ibrahim MAGU visited the Preferred University - Lagos State University, LASU; it was another beautiful experience to savour for members of staff at the University, as they were adequately informed, further educated and deeply enlightened on some of the consequential and critical responsibilities of the body called EFCC. The EFCC Boss advised the current University Administration to launch a strategy within the University in fighting the scourge called "CORRUPTION". The important one day Conference/Seminar was held at the 3-in-1 building, Faculty of Education, Main Campus, Ojo. Lead Facilitators/Keynote Speakers are : Chairman, Economic Financial Crime Commission, Mr. Ibrahim MAGU and The President, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Prof. Olusegun Ajibola. Other Speakers at the event include : Lecturer/Forensic Investigator, LASU, Dr. James Abiola, Barr./Lecturer, Faculty of Law, Dr. K. A. Olatoye, Lecturer/Forensic Investigator, UNILAG, Dr. Damilola Fagbohun and Prof. of Business Finance/Account in, LASU, Prof. James Kehinde.

The pragmatic progressive Vice Chancellor, Prof. 'Lanre Fagbohun, Deputy Vice Chancellor [Academics], Prof. A. O. K Noah and Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. 'Banji Fajonyomi attended the Conference. Professors, Departmental Heads, Directors of Centres, Deputy Registrars, Senior Members of staff and Students of the University. The historic Conference/Seminar has again re-affirm the NEW POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CHOICE.

Guest Speaker IS the Chairman, UBA Group, Mr. TONY ELUMELU, CON. Expected at the event are the Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Governor, Lagos State and Visitor to the University, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, Chairman of the occasion is the LASU Chancellor, Justice Adesola Oguntade [rtd], Pro - Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council Prof Adebayo Ninalowo. Vice Chancellor, Prof. 'Lanre Fagbohun is the Chief Host. At LASU, We are determined to take the great institution to greater heights.
