Five funny but annoying things people do on social media

The social media is gradually changing into an anti social media because it has succeeded in dealing natural relationships a great blow. There is no doubt the social media is a large market where the good, the bad and the ugly coexist. The social media has also created lots of scandals and has tarnished images and reputations which took years to build.

Nigerians always take everything to the extreme; I have a feeling we are natural extremists. You visit social media and see lots of rubbish going on all in the name of socialisation.

Here is a list of five funny but annoying things people do on Social media.

1. Likes

Is it that we don't (or care to) know what the like button is for? You will see a post update like
"Oh gosh It's so painful, I just lost my grandma"
And you will see just below the post 100 people like this. Please what are they liking? I think we will have to start asking questions as to whether they are liking the fact that the person is dead or Maybe the state of mind of the poster.

2. Say amen or die

Wait a minute, When has saying amen been attached to a curse? Is it by force to say amen? We are so religious that we think God is our mate. In case y'all have forgotten, there is a law that says the name of God should not be called in vain.

3. Unnecessary tagging

I once came across a post that I was tagged in, and the post said "in the prison with... " For God's sake why will you tag me to such things. We are fond of tagging people to what doesn't even concern them. Just like the "Like" button, tagging is widely abused by people daily.

4. Posting almost anything

Because Facebook asked What's on your mind doesn't mean you should tell the whole world that you are hungry, lonely, in love, heartbroken, sleeping and the list is endless. What annoys me most is the picture. Why on earth with you take a pose in the toilet and upload online. Isn't something wrong with the person upstairs? If you don't have what to say online, you keep quiet.

5. Sharing irrelevant information

The most painful part in this is that; the irrelevant news is created by illiterates and shared by graduates who claim to have gone to school. How can HIV be contracted through Oranges?
