Ex- Governor Oshiomhole, his deputy Odubu Influences Bill to get N300 million in this recession as retirement benefit, not minding the low level of infrastructures and unemployment in the state.

Who is actually fooling who in this country? It’s amazing how ex- Nigerian governors are manipulating bills as to favour their selfish desires, even at the point of leaving the office. Bearing 5days after Oshiomhole handed over to his successor Obaseki, the Edo State House of Assembly is amending the bill for a law for Pension Rights of the Governor and Deputy Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and Dr. Pius Odubu, expected to be some of the beneficiaries.

All these actions and inactions of our so called representatives, lawmakers who never consult their people whom they claimed they are representing are thought provoking and shameful to me; I don’t know if you feel the same.

What a mediocrity politicking and politics practice! Although is becoming a tradition with the political class especially the ex- governors like the current minister of power, housing and work Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Senator Godswill Okpabio, the senate president Dr. Bukola Saraki and many others who receives not less than N200 million as pension and allowances from their various states despite their current unimagined salary and allowances at the detriments of poor masses.

If you can remember, the news had it last week that Mr. President has promised Oshio a juicing position on his handover. As if that is not good enough, the lawmakers have decided to please the ex- governor with the state allocation and tax payers’ money; there is god ooo!
The house, with the new amendment, approved the provision of residential buildings worth N200m and N100m for the governor and his deputy at the expiration of their tenures in any location within Nigeria. This bill was passed yesterday, Wednesday 16, 2016. The lawmakers suspended vital sections in the house of its rule.

The Speaker of House, Dr. Justin Okonoboh, also directed the clerk of the House to accord the bill a third reading and send copies to the office of the Governor. This according to punch. We both know this is already a law, because the governor is already aware of this process from day 1, and he’s going to be a beneficiary in the long run.
What is going on in this country? In midst of this recession, the lawmakers are engaging in bills that are just for their self-interest. The House of representative purchasing cars for themselves with N3.6 Billion when there are huge number of unemployment, insecurity, education decays.

Are other ex- governors before Oshio as he’s popularly known going to be beneficiaries too?
Seven year old boy was burned alive yesterday for stolen Garri, while Mrs. Jonathan is cooling off with over 100 billion Naria stolen money. Abdulmumin Jibrin is sacked for revealed budget padding and re- padding, despite Sen. Bukola Saraki false assets declaration; he’s still the Senate President. Nawa ooo!

We employed these so called governors to serve us by electing them, we pay them handsomely with all we have in the state, they steal our money when in the office, and they still want to feed on the position all the days of their life, with the term named ‘pension’ even when they are still acting in another capacity. Tell me why Nigerians will not be in recession.
