The Boko haram has been framed by many as a foreign backed organization. The pattern and manner in which they attack and suppress government troops bewildered many. Where did this rag-tag group emanate from?. Where did they acquire such training and weapons from? Who are the Boko Haram.



Well every question above are lies and hence do not have any answers to them.

First the book haram sect member is a very loose unit. Many point to the genesis of Boko haram as being from the Borno sect fallout with the Government; This is also untrue. Boko Haram is not as united as they seem; lone cult groups and followers of Islamic scholars are now lumped as Boko Haram. A book haram member is simply seen as a member of any group that actively pursue the Islamization agenda. The sect of Boko haram in Borno was simply a sect dedicated to Islamization.



The group refers to itself as Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad, meaning "People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad."



The Boko Haram began effectively in the year 2003 when Northern Governments began to adopt sharia laws into their individual states constitution. In Zamfara the governor was the first to begin the adoption of Sharia law into the constitution. At that point it was a publicity stunt meant to consolidate power. However the monster played out quite unexpectedly.

The Boko Haram movement received further boost when the Kano state government instituted the Islamic police and banned Alcohol in the State. The hisbah police is made up many individuals with Boko Haram tenets.



At this point it may seem that I have skipped Muhammed Yusuf [Curse be Upon Him]. No I have not, I simply down played him. The group, which have existed since the late 1990s, organizes under the man Mohammed Yusuf a Muslim cleric. It was centered in Maiduguri and it aimed at the propagation of the Jihad.





Boko Haram was founded as a Sunni Islamic fundamentalist sect, influenced by the Wahhabi movement, advocating a strict form of Sharia law. It developed into a Salafist-jihadi group in 2009. The movement is diffuse, and fighters associated with it do not necessarily follow Salafi doctrine. The group has denounced the members of the Sufi, the Shiite, and the Izala sects as infidels. Boko Haram seeks the establishment of an Islamic state in Nigeria.



To cut the Story they were simply out to restore and Spread the purest form of Islam [i.e the one they practice]. THEY ARE MUSLIM EVANGELIST ON EVANGELISTIC WORK.







The movement’s violence has little to do with yusuf, at his death he was replaced with more radical Shekau. If Yusuf Muhammed was still alive, I sincerely doubt that the Boko Haram Insurgency may not have become this violent. He was aimed at using his position and following to ensure Islamic tenets are enthroned in Borno and other Northern states. He never proscribed violence. It became violent only when their candidate Ali Modu sherrif decided to back down from carrying out his promise of enthroning full sharia law.





In summary the Boko haram’s intention has never been hidden, their plan all along has been in their name- Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati Wal-Jihad, [People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad].



The group has the backing of Muslims who are propagating the teachings of the prophet and Jihad. The Boko Haram are simply the equivalent of Christian evangelists’.



From the birth of islam till date the spread of islam has always been by the sword. The Boko haram is not doing anything special, they are simply on a mission to spread Islam.
