So it was gej that borrowed 2 trillion last year September and it is gej that is about to borrow another 30billion dollars now ,abi?
Why am I even discussing with u?
Ok you are right .
undecided
My question is why did our debt profile rise when we were soaring on high oil price tide with little or nothing to show for it. If a government is earning lesser as it used to do and piipelines are being gashed open by explosives borrowing is understandable. so if u can tell me why a go government that enjoyed high oil prices with full scale oil production increased our debt profile, and was still increasing it to meet up recurrent expedenture? Do u think every one is st'pid?

another excuse.
The modern outside world don't believe in excuse. The world has gone beyond this level. What is the business of unserious people in power?why must Nigerians vote for unserious ppl? Simply because Nigerians themselves are capitally unserious ,instead of asking probing intelligent sensible questions from candidates, they will instead be asking for fufu and rice . Smh

Getting right people in aso rock is beyond the campaign thing.
One thing we should note is that we in nigeria, we dont have good leaders. That is number one.
No good leaders.

One cannot imaging the set of people in apc can also fail woefully like this.
This is a government that has almighty buhari as president, while fashola, amaechi, ngige, audu ogbeh, fayemi, lai muhammad, etc as ministers.

Generally in nigeria we dont have committed and serious minded leaders.
Awolowo achieved alot because he was committed to his people. There are no committed leaders like that in nigeria of today.

In todays nigeria there is no single real leader.

Buhari has always been a dullard with no certificate
Amaechi has always been a corrupt bastard
Ngige is a crook
Audu ogbe was chased of pdp seat because of fraud
Fashola is the only governor in the history of this world to say he only signs check and doesn't know what the money is used for
Fayemi looted ekiti dry without even constructing a single road from scratch to completion during his 4yrs as governor.

Don't try to be smart here. Kindly answer my questions. I also ask again is it news that states were already struggling to pay salaries and even the FG herself borrowed to meet up salary obligations of civil servants in the early part of 2015 even before the handy over in May? Is it news that the present government had to bail out states even to "our oyel crying states" despite 13% oil derivation and lower workforce? Tell me again, is it news that the last government left a huge debt profile even to local contactors, and a huge debt profile in subsidy claims before sje handed over. Are these not clear signs the country had already been plummeted into a very dangerous position even before handover. If an excellent past is being destroyed i would have understood all u always post. Once again, not everyone is silly. The last government was not an option and will never be.!

Buhari should rather not contest again.

He lacks what it takes to be good president.

Atiku or other options should be considered.
Those apc are too unserious minded people.

No matter who is President, the chances of Nigeria rising above her problems is nil. The structural foundation and design of this country is anti development but unfortunately greed and tribal politics will not allow a change in status quo.

Only if we had a selfless and passionate leader that would correct this structural problems but unfortunately there is none in Nigeria at the moment.

Stupidity is defined to be doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, that is Nigeria.
We thought OBJ was bad, then GEJ was worse then PMB is now worst. Maybe after PMB, we will see "worster" and "worstest". what does that tell you?

The number of illiterates on this thread is astounding.

What the CBN was simply saying is that FG is not meeting its domestic obligations ie payments to contractors, etc. And its affecting the economy. He never said he's against borrowing.

The questions therefore is where will the money come from? printing more naira?? OF course not. We just have to borrow externally

A government of confusion and lack of apparent synergy. The CBN is now warning Government on its debt profile as the Ministry of Finance had also urged CBN to look at its interest rates to the manufacturing sector.

What a shame.

Are we only entitled to blame game and theoretical notes without real growth?

Bros it is a different issue to try and get it wrong compared to someone who doesn't even have the simplest idea of how to go about a problem.
Pls kindly state one tangible developmental policy this government has initiated since it came into power?
this is how they will do till 2019 ,already they have started talking about 2019 elections .

No, I'm not going to hold brief for the PMB led govt. Its has made a lot of mistakes. What it needs are practical solutions, not blind, destructive criticisms.

APC government are good people but are too unserious.
If another serious minded people are in aso rock, things would be corrected quickly.
It is not so difficult to put things in the right direction.

Example is the case of america, obama restored their economy.
they are good people but unserious? and how did you arrive at that? how do you determine who is good and who isn't?

I'm actually talking in general terms. This regime so far is the worst in the history of Nigeria. However, it is still because of our structural problems that is why people like PMB can become leaders otherwise people like that should be in their living room watching TV.
Our entire system as a country needs to be restructured else it would keep throwing up expired products in leadership positions.

And it's worse that the borrowed money is continually wasted on frivolities such as looking for oil in the barren land of the northeast. This brainless man will finish us.

They rescued nigeria from the path to doom obasanjo put nigeria into.
After they rescued the country, they themselves slept off.

What next for nigerians to do now is to change the changer.

Boss the issue of quality leadership has got nothing to do with party affiliation or membership.yar adua was a pdp member but within the short period of time he ruled,he brought down the price of fuel, granted amnesty to militants and effective quelled the political restiveness in the ND,he fought boko haram and almost destroyed the group completely, yet he was a member of pdp. The same set of ppl idiagbon used to instill discipline into Nigerians that almost made bribery a taboo in Nigeria were exactly the very same set of ppl ibb used to institutionalize corruption in the system. It all boils down to the capability of the man at the center .
Imagine a nation that cant pay workers salaries regularly, cant pay contractors and yet they are going ahead to start disbursing 5000 naira monthly to millions of Nigerians ! A nation that can't pay existing workers salaries is going ahead to employ another 200,000 workers ,please tell me how they will not resort to more borrowings by 2018
