Its no news that the Federal Government have commenced selection of 200000 candidates for the N-Power employment program.

Some questions like how were N-Power candidates selected? How many candidates were selected for each category.

A tweet by Johannes Toby one of the media teams of President Buhari have addressed how N-Power candidates were selected.

According to the tweet some of the categories in the N-Power recriutment exercise were N-Power Health, N-Power agro and N-Power Teach and Community.

He also revealed that 352,480 candidates applied for the N-Power Teach and community after which 140,992 candidates were selected.

He also noted that a special addition of 4800 were selected for the North Eastern states. Borno had 1200, while Adamawa Yobe and Taraba had 800 candidates each while Bauch and Gombe had 600 each.
There was also an additional consideration of 4208 for Bayelsa, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.

N-Power agro had 58,002 applicants from which 23,201 candidates were selected. A residue of 6,799 candidates were applied to Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development to all states across specific crop, fish and livestock based target.

N-Power health had 39,068 applicants after which 19,534 candidates were selected and an additional 444 distributed among states to sum it up to 20,000 candidates. The 22 residue was split between Kebbi and Sokoto State.

39% of the selected candidates were female while 46% were male. Also 1,126 disabled candidates were selected.
