In the Governorship election which held on the 27th of November, 2016 in Ondo state, official result by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is being collated and announced as at the time of filing this report.
The contending candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Rotimi Akerdolu, SAN, and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, were locked in a tight race, yesterday, in the Ondo State governorship election.
Prof. Abdul Ganiyu Ambali of the University of Ilorin is the Chief Returning Officer , REC, for the Ondo state Governorship election.
The state has a total of 18 local government areas.

I Kinda have sympathy for AD sha, but with the look of things, AD can't win

APC Still Wins. It Means Buhari And A.P.C Will Occupy Aso Rock till atleast beyound 2019, and we are crying of him and his team not having plans to drive us off recession, how do we survive if things remains the way it is or even worsen ? i expected a new party to come up and possibly win. I know APC will win from the very start of the race. reasons, through there was a problem in selection of ake, oke formally of APC decamped to AD to contest, reduce the vote for both APC n PDP n also divided attention of electorates. (2)Oke's move to AD which is an unpopular party, wrecked him because the party needs the necessary structures n resources to compete favourably with it's counterparts (PDP n APC),anyway a tree can't make a Forrest. (3)PDP's court cases distracted the party's attention from preparations for the election. (4)Ake's preparations from the primary election up to the finale. (5) Federal might n APCs Master class. if u want to talked of lalong,asked Jonah jang. we know how fayemi lost to fayose n things been equal, he pays mimiko
