Some fools say that igbos are tribalistic that we introduced tribalism into nigeria
They also claimed that we are unaccomodating
But little do they know that the first mayor of enugu municipal council was elected in 1952 in the person of malam umaru altine
Malam altine from the old Sokoto province was the secretary of zikist movement and a stunch member of the national council for nigerian citizens NCNC
Although the NCNC failed to re nominate him for mayor in 1956 he was reelected as an independent by ndigbo who went against their party (the ncnc)
My question is which tribe is more nationalist in this country if not igbos

You have a point. All you need do is refine your language and you will have a good argument.

You guys should stop giving us this thing you did way back in 1952 . Before you did that.. Yorubas had already elected nnamdi azikwe into the western regional assembly in 1951. So what are you saying?

We are talking about modern day Nigeria. Can igbos replicate such in this present day Nigeria? Don't give me that crap that yorubas don't come to the east, my cousin schooled there and he was told he can't be a departmenal president because he was yoruba despite the fact that his mother is igbo. .he had to go for secretary of the department.

Come to the south west, an igbo man from abia is the permanent secretary in ogun state so also one man from delta state. My secondary school principal was igbo.. We have many igbos in the ogun state civil service employed without minding were they were from..
We don't do that rubbish you guys do in the east where abia will sack all workers of imo extraction from it civil service.

If you go to the north, there are both yorubas and igbos in their civil service holding important positions.

Your own case is that when we give you something then you start agitating and making demands to produce deputy governor or even the governor or referring to those that gave you the opportunity to work and hold these positions as lazy people. And you start telling them they can't survive without you in their lands .

It's all these your statements like saying lagos is no man's land, that you control lagos, that you are paying more tax than others etc that's making yorubas have a rethink. Recently when akeredolu was declared winner some of you have started shouting igbos have taken over ondo state because your daughter is now ondo's state first lady. if you had kept your mouth shut maybe we wouldnt need to be suspecting each other the way we are currently doing now. There are many south southerners in the west but why is that you are the ones always making noise and crying. Sabo in abeokuta is very big and dominated by people from the northern extraction but you don't see them making noise here.
