The Brazilian FA (CBF) has released the following statement:
"The CBF wishes to register its sadness at the shocking news from Colombia, regarding an air disaster involving the plane that was transporting the Chapecoense squad, journalists and guests, ahead of the Copa Sudamericana final first leg.
"We are now in contact with CONMEBOL, local authorities and club representatives to gather more information before taking any decisions regarding the course of the Brazilian football schedule.
"We hereby declare our solidarity, and direct our prayers to the passengers and flight crew.
