In attendance was the Nigeria former head of state Yakubu Gowon GCFR, the merit award winner Prof. O. Akinkugbe NNOM, the Richest African Woman Dr (Mrs.) Folorunso Alakija, the noticable Busiinessman Mr. Oba Otudeko, Retired Justice Timothy Oyeyipo , parents ,guardians ,student, the well wishers and also the Celebrant. It was learnt that he great king Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Alaafin of Oyo and the Second Richest Man in Africa Chief Mike Adenuga GCON was absent.
The program kick-start a the fixed time 11am GMT +1 . Most graduate were said to be sited earlier before the program was started.It was a car park full of cars.In attendance was the Nigeria former head of state General
It was a glamorous, satisfying and joyful atmosphere at Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Faculty of Law Auditorium in the school. Award were awarded to student who merit it. Different category of award were giving award included the overall best student ,overall best male graduate, the overall best female , overall best student in each department and also award were awarded to graduates of outstanding performance the school(not relating to academics),in other areas like religion.
It was learnt that a total of 324 graduate were convocating which only 16 were of First Class Honours .Department of Computer science and Department of Microbiology leading the first class which both manage to produce 3 each a total of 6. Second Class Upper degree were total to be 66 which the Department of Economics lead the table with a total of 15 gradate. Second Class lower Division were total to be 126 which the Department of Economics also lead with a total of 31 Graduates and also third Class division were total to be 115 which consist of most computer science student total to be 20 out of total of 37 which computer science had this year.
The individual award table was lead by a female graduate named JOSIAH, Mololuwa Oyinola of Department of Computer Science after winning a total of 7 awards .She won the Overall best female graduating student, She also won the Overall best Student in the University and 5 more. The Overall best male graduating student ELEGBEDE, Abraham Oluwatobi of Department of Economics also won 7 awards but was unlucky to win the best graduating in the University.
The once in a blue moon occasion was called a day after the Academic Procession left the Convocation Arena after the Nigeria National anthem.
