Hi guys, my name is Engr. Emmanuel Onyeka and i work for Power Green global Engineering Nigeria Limited. The company is involved in the sales, Installations and maintenance of various sizes of inverters and deep cycle batteries,UPS,Online UPS systems,Solar Panels and Charge controllers,. eekalani33@gmail.com, eeonyeka@gmail.com 08034675313 and i am here to discus some of the issues we experience in our day to day inverter installations and maintenance, we will also look at the methods of calculating the backup time of the various capacities of inverters both on full load and not, the methods of calculating the sizes of inverters to be installed for particular clients as well as the installation procedures for:
1 Phase in-1 phase out inverters(250VA-1400VA).
1 Phase in- 1 Phase out inverters(2.5KVA-10KVA)
1 Phase in -1 phase out online UPS(2KVA-10KVA)
3 Phase in- 3 phase out Inverter(10KVA-100KVA)
3 phase in- 3 phase out Online UPS(10KVA-50KVA).

Inverters: Power Inverters can simply be called an electronic device or circuitry that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The input voltage, output voltage and frequency, and overall power handling depend on the design of the specific device or circuitry.
that is it converts AC to DC and when deep cycle batteries are installed along side the inverter, then it has the capacity to store some of the AC current and the release them back to the circuit after dictating abnormality in the mains supply. It is important to note that it is not only when there is total power failure that the inverters triggers to battery or DC mode, a number of factors can also lead to this such as a certain drop in voltage level(some inverters around 90v), drop in frequency etc.

Below are some of our previously completed inverter jobs

Application of Inverter Systems:
there are so many places the inverter can be used such as in powering the following systems: Security Systems,Air Conditioners, Video Cameras, Water Motor Pumps, Tube Light, Microwave Oven,Projectors, DVRs, PABXs, Fridges/freezers,home theaters, food processors, Lifts/Elevators,Industrial AC, Washing Machines, ATM Machines, Television, Room Coolers,Vacuum Cleaners, CFL light, Fans,Garage Doors. We do not install inverters on all electrical appliances that has heating element such as pressing iron and water heaters. Before we continue lets explain some of the terms that we will be using regularly:

Watt:Watts are basically just a measure of how much power a device uses when turned on, or can supply. A watt is a watt - there is no such thing as "watts per hour", or "watts per day". If a something uses 100 watts, that is simply the voltage times the amps. If it draws 10 amps at 12 volts, or 1 amp at 120 volts, it is still 120 watts. A watt is defined as one Joule per second.

Watt-Hour:A watt-hour (or kilowatt hour, kWh) is simply how many watts times how many hours that is used for. This is what most people mean when they say "watts per day". If a light uses 100 watts, and it is on for 9 hours, that is 900 watt-hours. If a microwave uses 1500 watts, and runs for 10 minutes, that is 1/6th of an hour x 1500, or 250 WH. That is the same unit that PHCN used to sale their power before the advent of prepaid meters . A kWh is a "kilowatt hour", or 1000 watts for one hour (or 1 watt for 1000 hours).

Amp: This is simply the unit of measurement for electric current.Amps are important because it determines what wire size you need, especially on the DC (low voltage) side of an inverter. All wire has resistance, and amps flowing through a wire causes heat. If your wire is too small for the amps, they(wire) becomes too hot and can then burn, this is usually the root cause of most electrical fire outbreak. You can also get voltage drops in the wire if it is too small. This is not usually a good thing. An amp is defined as 1 Coulomb per second.

Amp Hour:this is usually abbreviated as AH and is a measure of the capacity of a battery. the AH capacity of each battery determines how long it can run and this is what we call backup time. Thus a battery of 200AH will last Longer than that of 105AH and 100AH.

Not yet. But we are still working on it currently and it will be functional from early next year.
Meanwhile he can join us here as he can still learn a lot from here'
