NOW, before the voting starts, let's take a review of World Football in 2016.

Lots of actions have occurred in the world of football in 2016.

Buffon, Pogba, Dybala and co with Juventus again won the Serie A again in the summer with Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain finishing top scorer having bagged 36 goals. The new Serie A however, finds Mauro Icardi and Edin Džeko on top of the scoring charts so far.

Pogba however is having quite a hard time adapting to England football.

Luis Suarez finished La Liga top scorer as Barcelona won the La Liga again.

The Uruguayan however failed to help Uruguay proceed out of the group stage of the Copa America though didn't enjoy sufficient play time.

Lionel Messi along with other Barcelona players also won a domestic double, claiming the Copa Del Rey along with the La Liga triumph.

Messi however once again failed to inspire Argentina to international trophy success as they once again fell to Chile at the Copa America final.

Neymar enjoyed success at Rio 2016 winning gold after leaving the Copa America to focus on Olympics football.

Chile once again triumphed over America again as they retained their title with Alexis Sanchez finishing as the most valuable player and Eduardo Vargas as top scorer.

Alexis Sanchez is also enjoying new life as a centre striker with Arsenal in the current season.

Ronaldo claimed the UEFA Champions League along with Real Madrid and also claiming the Euro 2016 with Portugal.

Antonie Griezmann however won the double at Euro 2016 winning both the Golden Ball and boot. He was also in fine form at the UEFA Champions League.

The English Premier League fairytale ended with Leicester City triumphing over other England giants, Harry Kane still finished top scorer though one goal ahead of Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero.

Leicester City and Jamie Vardy are saying a different story in the New season though as Leicester City are in shambles in the EPL and the last season wonder striker firing blank.

Chelsea seem to be getting their swagger back after a woeful last season as they currently sit top of the EPL table, Diego Costa has played a major role with his goals, Hazard also back in form in their current form.

Some new faces are also impressing in the EPL this season too.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic once again helped Paris Saint-Germain to another regular title last season. The experienced Swede however is having a new life at Manchester United now.

Robert Lewandowski again bagged 30+ goals for Bayern Munich to ensure they won the Bundesliga again, Bayern Munich this season however are telling another story as their authoritative position is being threatened by newcomers Leipzig, Lewandowski however is still scoring goals with back from injury Arjen Robben also contributing to Bayern's goals this season.

Some other footballers might have also impressed you in other leagues like the NPFL, Dutch League, Etc.

Several defenders like Marcelo, Pepe, Koscienly and etc have impressed immensely over the 2016 football.

Goalkeepers alike have impressed as well.

Now let the voting begin, football fans on nairaland over here too have several other players that have impressed them in 2016, list your Top 20 using the format stated above. Goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, wingers and strikers have all impressed.

Remember voting ends by December 19, 2016.

PEEP! PEEP!! PEEP!!! LET THE VOTING BEGIN.
