The Peoples Democratic Party has given reasons why the Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose will never join the ruling party, All Progressives Congress. A statement by the Ekiti state chapter of the PDP said it is unfortunate that the APC believes the governor will register as a member of the ruling party. Below are the four reasons given by the PDP

1. No reasonable Nigerian will take such decision

The Ekiti state PDP said following the difficulties and harsh conditions experienced by Nigerian within a short period under APC leadership, no reasonable individual will want to join APC.

2. Joining APC from PDP is like jumping from land to a dangerous sea

The statement released by the national publicity secretary of the Ekiti state PDP Jackson Adebayo said the statement credited to the APC is an indication that the ruling party cannot be separated from the level of intelligence of those who sprang up the propaganda in the first instance. He said the APC has confirmed that its handlers have been sold into the delusional mentality hence they don’t know how well to promote their party again.

3 Fayose lacks the characteristics of an APC member

Adebayo in his statement noted that the governor does not posses the characteristic of an average APC person. He said the political strategy of APC members is only propaganda and their economic innovation is recession and depression.

4 It is suicidal to join APC

The Ekiti PDP spokesperson said it will be suicidal for the governor to join the APC. He said it is only a politician who wants to commit suicide that will deliberately join the ‘dying’ party.
