Here is the reality. Nigeria can surely be one of the best economy if and only if: Corruption cld seize The leaders are willing to come together for the progress of Nigeria and give back some of what they have stolen. Development of Nigeria is important to everyone. The govt is ready to give the basics of life, light, roads and securities. So many investors will come and invest in Nigeria and we will be on our way to the top. But till then, this will continue to be a dream |

That study was bullshit-did you see the countries they grouped us with? these countries are still fu cked lol, so it is no surprise that we would also be screwed. The BRIC countries are still struggling to make it to the top and nigeria is thinking next 11. |

The study said "emerging economies", not "super powers"! Is year 2050 not more realistic than vision 2020? C'mon! |

donjon: NO! Maybe the year 2439! Those two are just too close. Can't you remember when the fad was vision 2000 then? It seemed like 2000 would never come, it came and we were worse off then we became disappointed! But with the new improved vision 2439, none of us will ever be disappointed for we shall not live till then! |

that is a fake study. really this govt is destroying the nigeria economy. what sanusi did in the banking sector is killing investment into nigeria. no real economist would ask business to return money borrowed. you want them to borrow more and invest that money in your economy. if you take money from dangote or otedola or adenuga and return it back to them. you kill thier business and that kills the economy. return people banks. nobody anywhere in the world would buy a stolen bank. all this move are killing nigeria economy. nigeria govt have no business in banking, when the nigeria govt was in banking. it was hell, you can not convert loan to a bank to investment. it is the shareholders that can decide to do that. |

Stale news. We cannot expect to achieve these things without basic necessities such as stable power and decent infrastructure (let alone factors like corruption, an uneducated population, etc.). |

I think these so-called studies are part of the problem sef. Are people expected to power on, on the strength of this write-up? |
