IMN Rejects White Paper Released By Kaduna Gov, Says Is a Belated, Malicious Response To The Judgment Fed High Court Abuja

The Islamic Movement In Nigeria(IMN), has vehemently rejected the White Paper released by Kaduna state government, describing the state's sitting Governor Nasir Ahmed El-rufai as a threat to national security.

It would be recalled that, the state government, on 5th December, 2016, released the report of its Judicial Commission of Inquiry into what the state government called " Clashes" between IMN and the Nigerian Army between 12th-14 December, 2015.

However, addressing news men in Kaduna on Thursday, Shiekh Abdulhamid Bello, of Shuhada Foundation, a wing of the IMN, stressed, "in this preliminary response, IMN has rejected in its entirely the contents of the white paper.

" This is to give retroactive justifications against to its hostile actions against IMN since 12th December, 2015." He added.

According to him," the purported release of the White Paper is a belated and malicious response to the judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, delivered on 2nd, December, 2016.

He noted, the presiding Judge, Justice Gebriel Kolawade ordered the release of our leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky within a period of 45 days from the date of judgment, the building of a new House for him and his family and payment of #50m compensation for the unconditional release and illigal detention of his wife and self since 14th December, 2015."

" It is clear to us that, El-rufai is angry that the said court, did not order the indefinite detention of Zazkay and his wife, adding, it is also clear that El-rufai is angry that the commission did not strictly follow the script given to them by returning completely the pre- determined conclusion and verdict." He explained

He then said, " we are convince that El-rufai is bent on creating an atmosphere of fear, anxiety and violence in the state for a reasons that are unclear through his messianic approach to governance."
