It is the norm in every industry that people get paid the most for the most work done. In the entertainment industry this also applies. This has seen several A-list celebrities walk home with huge pay for their roles especially in a block buster movies.

Forbes has recently revealed some highly established actors who are
overpaid for their movie roles. American actor Johnny Depp tops the spot on Forbes annual Most Overpaid Actors list for the second year in a row. The actor known for his movie Franchise Pirates of the Caribbean.

Due to poor box office numbers, the Pirates of The Caribbean star is now 2016’s most overpaid actor. His last three movies returned just 2.80 dollars at the box office for every one dollar he was paid on them, according to Forbes.

His movie Alice Through the Looking Glass hit theatres in May just when a judge issued a restraining order against its star after wife Amber Heard alleged that he physically and verbally abused her.

Will Smith came in second place by returning 5 dollars for every one dollar he was paid for his low-performing movies which includes Focus and Concussion. Channing Tatum came in third on the list with 6 dollars for every dollar he was paid.

Adam Sandler who had topped the list in 2013 and 2014 became sixth this year.While Julia Roberts became the only woman on the list with the ninth place.
