The former Holland goalkeeper has been a player with much higher credentials and was one of the best Dutch Players who graced English Premier League. And when he was saving goals and winning matches for Old Trafford side, his discipline was exceptional. He playing more than 27000 minutes for Manchester United, and didn’t received a single red card in that time.
i tink i watch a match sometimes 2007 wheen hee was sent off by a refree and a penalty kick was decided against man utd, intriguingly man utd was left with no substitute, ferdinard had. to come up and act as a goalie with edwins gloves on his hand, it seem is against portmout o so not sure tho

It is noteworthy that most of those defenders on the list were mediocre.
I doubt if there was any great defender in history that did not get a red card.
Those last man defence scenarios would either get you a red card or a goal against your team, and any great defender would make the necessary foul.
