The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okey Enelamah, has affirmed that the Federal Government will continuing to support Nigeria’s first subscribers identity module, SIM cards manufacturing processing company, SECUREID Limited in its bid to export over 200 million SIM cards yearly to 19 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

Enelamah disclosed this at the commissioning of the multi-billion naira of the firm in Lagos. He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration was ready to assist any local manufacturing company willing to export locally manufactured products offshore in a bid to attract foreign exchange into the country.

The Minister noted that the company is a world-class SIM manufacturing firm that will help propagate the present administration’s diversification agenda programme about Nigeria’s quest to becoming an industralised country by the year 2020.

Enelamah added that his ministry will give the required regulatory supports to make sure that the company succeeds in its chosen specialization.

He however explained that the federal government will support the private sector groups to succeed in their businesses by providing conducive enabling environment and level playing ground for them to thrive in their areas of specialisation.

According to him, the company-SECUREID Limited is an example of three critical proponents the present administration has identified in its quest to make Nigeria become a technology driven nation- entrepreneurship, manufacturing and ICT.

“What I find very interesting is that the company we are celebrating is an interception of three things that are vital to us as a country and to this government in terms of our strategy- entrepreneurship, manufacturing, whole technology and telecoms space. It’s not often you get a company that can somehow combined the sweet-side of the three components.

‘‘But it takes entrepreneur vision, drive and zeal to make it happen. As a country and a government, we must support more and more of our entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and vision to realize and allow them reach their full potentials”.

He continued: “This plant is a world class technology based because of the sophisticated technology and equipment installed.

‘‘So what I can assure you is that we will continue to support you to produce more and more often of SIM cards and to add values to employment generation and improved on the administration’s import substitution strategy,” the minister added.

Also speaking, the Acting Managing Director, Bank of Industry, Mr. Waheed Olagunju, said that the bank will continue to support genuine manufacturing company with lending to grow their business and attain full potential.

He noted that it is time for the country to grow its non-oil sector to attain full development at a period crude oil is no longer attractive.

Olagunju noted that BoI is willing to lend to manufacturing companies in the country to get Nigeria’s economy out of being import dependent nation.

He added that the backward integration programme of the present government was key to industrialisation of the country.

He noted that the SIM card commissioning will create more employment opportunities which mean more workers will also pay more taxes which will be beneficial to Lagos state government.

I smell liessss.
Almost everything about this APC govt is structured on liessss. Just like.

Buhari : my government will pay unemployed Nigerians
5k every month.
People be like: sai Baba... change is
here..Nigeria will rise again! .
Buhari: I never promised to pay unemployed Nigerians
5k each month. .
People be like: No mind those Jonathanians. With their
fake news. Show us links where he promised that. We
are solidly behind you. Nothing for yam eaters .
Buhari : We have started collection of data to enable us
pay the unemployed graduates 5k. .
People be like : Where are those TANoids that said
Baba is not a promise keeper...shame on all PDP.
Baba till 2023 ! .
Buhari: I wont pay 5k to unemployed youths. Its not a
priority ! .
People be like: Baba is right! Whats the use of 5k?
What can 5k do to anyone. Mr president we love u.
Best president ever! .
I wont be surprised if I wake up tomorrow and hear : .
Buhari: Unemployed Nigerians should pay 5k every
month to the government: .
And still people be like: Think of what u can do for your
country and not what your country can do for you.
Baba is right. But I know those unpatriotic wailers
wont pay
. I don't think this is ordinary.Not at all.
