Lizzie’s Creations, a software developing firm has launched a new educational app for babies, preschoolers and toddlers, entitled: 'Teseem – First Words'.

Teesem - First Words has been specifically designed for touchscreen devices as they provide the most attractive and adaptable devices for the demographic,'' Elizabeth Eremie has said.

''We are proud to announce the launch of our first cross-platform app, Teseem – First Words.

''First Words is an educational app for babies, preschoolers and toddlers (aged 1 to 5). It is perfect for teaching your kids and it's intuitive so they can also play and learn on their own.

The app is full of exciting educative animation that kids can activate just by touching the screen of any device,’’ Eremie said.

She noted that in addition to learning their first words in English, kids can learn African languages and culture right from the start, from their very first words.

She stated that Teesem - First Words is packed with awesome features that make it a must-have for parents keen on having multilingual children.

The features includes: Super fun interactivity, over 70 words to learn (and more to come), fun animation, available in English and 3 Major Nigerian Languages (Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo), engaging graphics and Ad Free.

She said she was inspired by Teseem a Tiv word, derived from a native Nigerian Language, which means “Teach Me”.

Eremie has always been passionate about educating women and children. Social equality and the African culture are issues she holds dear.

In 2013, Eremie and her co-founder Idamiebi Ilamina-Eremie (who later became her husband) launched Lizzie’s Creations. Their first project was AfroTalez, an African folk-story telling app for children.

15258616_250151225405351_3071943141914312704_nThe app was successful and garnered about 60,000 downloads on the various app stores it was featured on, an incredible feat that was not foreseen.

Teseem – First Words is the second project from Lizzie’s Creations and unlike the countless apps made for toddlers, this one was designed with Africa in mind.

Elizabeth believes that if children grow up knowing how to speak their own mother tongue, they’ll have a deeper appreciation of their heritage, its rich history and showcase its vibrant cultures and diversity. She said the app can be downloaded on Google PlayStore.
