Parfum or extrait--in English known as perfume extract, pure perfume, or simply perfume: 15–40% ( IFRA : typical ~20%) aromatic compounds
Esprit de Parfum (ESdP)-- 15–30% aromatic compounds, a seldom used strength concentration in between EdP and perfume
Eau de Parfum (EdP)
Parfum de Toilette (PdT):-- 10–20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds, sometimes listed as "eau de perfume" or "millésime"; Parfum de Toilette is a less common term, most popular in the 1980s, that is generally analogous to Eau de Parfum
Eau de Toilette (EdT): 5–15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds
Eau de Cologne (EdC), often simply called cologne: 3–8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds;

Perfumes are a very important part of your toilette; the right fragrance helps you smell really good and it enhances your personality and self-confidence. If you look around for a good perfume you are sure to come across plenty of alcohol free perfumes. If your religion forbids you from touching any product that contains alcohol then you certainly need to use these products.; However, you will also be glad to know that alcohol perfumes have many more advantages and best of all are available in Nigeria at a very cheaper rate.

1.If you wear an oil based fragrance then it will be very mild. This means that there is very little chance of irritating the nasal membranes of a person who has a sensitive nose. It also means that you won't have to worry that your perfume has entered a room long before you do.

2. It is an interesting paradox that an alcohol based perfumes is very costly even though it is mass produced. Most of the biggest names in this industry do use alcohol and their products are priced very high. Natural perfumes, on the other hand, are very affordable.

3. Perfumes made of oils tend to have a natural fragrance when compared to alcohol based alternatives. In fact, these scents have a very discernible and pure fragrance and they are rarely overpowering.

4. Many people are allergic to alcohol on their skin and therefore they cannot use perfumes that contain this ingredient. Alcohol also has a drying effect on the skin; it is best avoided if the weather is very hot and dry.

5.Oil based scents tend to last longer on your skin when compared to alcohol flavored ones since alcohol tends to evaporate very fast. These perfumes smell very strong when you first supply them but the scent goes away very fast on account of evaporation. If you do not get a lot of opportunities to touch your perfume up then it makes a lot of sense to use an oil based one.

While most of the perfumes available these days are made of alcohol, it is very easy to find products that do not contain this ingredient. The growing demand for fragrances that do not contain oil ensures that many famous perfume companies have started offering them in addition to their regular products. Be sure that you try out different options before you select the right one. It is also important to buy perfumes from a reliable company that uses high quality ingredients.

The right fragrance plays an important role in how confident you feel.

Correct me if am wrong, please.
By saying oil based perfume you meant Essential oils right ? Which is similar to what we call Hausa perfume in Nigeria, well if that is what you are saying then let me put it to you that you have not fully inform the readers.

What you should have said is for people to seek those who collect fragrance and make essential oils to buy directly from them because oil based perfumes are the same as essential oils which is also one of the ingredients in making Perfumes and Colognes.

Fragrance/Smell is best collected from Fruits, Flowers, Plants and Trees using oils.

I agree somewhat with 1 and 5.

The fact that a perfume has alcohol doesn't preclude its being all-natural. They have natural sources of alcohol.

Most people that are allergic to perfumes are allergic to ingredients other than alcohol in perfumes an that's why regulatory bodies (e.g. IFRA) have banned several

Also the fact that a perfume is oil based has nothing to do with whether it's natural or not. I can guarantee that whatever oil you are using is replete with synthetics. I'd go as far as say it's likely >90% synthetic. It costs an arm and a leg to produce an all natural fragrance and you probably won't be able to get it for less than $50 a ml (for oils). Do the math, it's not cheap.

Hausa colognes are not essential oils. Essential oils are usually extracts of plants e.g. Rose, lavender in very high concentrations. Hausa perfume is a mixture of all sorts.

No I did not repeat what you said. Essential oils are not similar to Hausa oils. Hausa oils are similar to attars or mukhallats if we want to get technical. Essential oils are the purest extracts of flowers etc. e.g. Lavender essential oil, rose absolue, geranium essential oil etc. Hausa oils are a mixture of perfume oils, most of which are synthetic.

I meant the @bolded part, i already explained that maybe you missed it. And i heard they do it in the North, infact i sometimes buy my essential oils from the Hausa guys in the North to make perfumes.
