BRITISH Airways (BA), UK’s largest airline based on fleet size has reduced its inflight entertainment package on the Abuja-London route.

According to findings by Naija Magazine Online (NMO), some services are no longer available to passengers.

Unlike in the past, free wines on trolleys are no longer available for economy class passengers. To get a bottle, passenger must request, which is not guaranteed.

Also, previously, passengers on the Abuja-London route were served sandwiches shortly before arrival in London. This has been scrapped.

Findings by NMO showed that though ‘BA announced its intention to scrap free food on flights shorter than five hours, instead offering pricey M&S sandwiches’, the airline has extended the cuts to some long haul flights.

It would also be recalled that economy class passengers on BA are not allowed to carry more than 2 free check-in luggage at 23kg each, compared to Arik Air that allows 30kg per suitcase.
