3 students killed in inter-varsity campus war

TWO students of University of Benin (UNIBEN) and a student of Lagos State University (LASU) were reportedly killed in an apparent renewed inter-university campus war.
Two other students, who had gunshot wounds, were reported to be in critical condition at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The three dead students were said to have been “shot at very close range.”
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the killings started last Monday with the shooting of a 300-Level Life Science student of UNIBEN, while the killing of the LASU student, whose identity could not be ascertained, took place on Thursday.
It was further learnt that a 200-Level Banking and Finance student of the university, whose name was given as Olasanoye Michael, was shot dead on Friday.
But the two students at the UBTH Intensive Care Unit were reportedly shot on Wednesday last week. Contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police, Mr. Peter Ogboi, said he was yet to be briefed about the incidents.

Nigeria University is paper certification that is why a student can afford to learn how to use a gun and kill fellow student.

Some students were only angered by the strike because it halted their cult activities.

But the way our universities are being managed, is there any justifiable reason for an idiot to join any secret cult in school?. Which student in this country wants to spend more than the stipulated course years in school?. It is the children of thugs and wayward parents that would want to participate in such. Already, four year programmes are being run six, in our public institutions. Hence, there is obviously no need for any inter-varsity war, according to thread.

You are very correct. The Police know what to do, it is just that, some of these cultists have rich parents, who always bail them out with their connections. I will keep saying it, let them set up a law, that makes a convicted cultist face firing squad. When they start killing them (not innocent ones), then it will reduce. Cultism is a menace in any society.

It is really saddening that a couple of persons in this age that we are now, are still into secret cultism at school. What do they stand to benefit? Their mates are in the private schools, are graduating after 3 and half years, but as for them, they spend all spending their 6 years (instead of 4 year programme) killing each other.

You are right. Some of our leaders today have once been in a cult or two before graduating. It might have not been as deadly as it is today, but they laid the foundation. Today, they are exhibiting their skills at the corridor of power. I wonder what this generation will show tommorow with this deadly level it has attained.
